About the Project
PRIDE Inc. is a nonprofit organization that provides programs and support services for adults and students with disabilities or barriers to employment. Its services include day programming, community-based support, adult foster care, employment assistance, and other resources designed to promote independence and community participation.
The organization’s previous website no longer reflected the full range of programs available. Important actions, such as learning about services, finding employment opportunities, registering for events, making a donation, or contacting the organization, also needed to be easier to complete.
The goal was to create a more modern and accessible website that clearly presents the organization’s mission, programs, events, career opportunities, and ways for community members to get involved.
The Brief
The client wanted a complete website redesign that would improve the organization’s online presentation and make information easier to find. The new site needed to support several audiences, including individuals seeking services, families, caregivers, job seekers, employers, donors, and community partners.
The main project requirements included:
- A clean, welcoming design aligned with the organization’s existing identity.
- Clear organization of programs and support services.
- More visible pathways for donations, inquiries, and event registration.
- Updated photography that reflects the organization’s people and programs.
- Dedicated pages for staff, leadership, careers, events, news, and annual reports.
- Frequently asked questions that explain program eligibility and participation.
- A streamlined contact form with clear options for requesting information.
- Improved business information to support consistency and local visibility.
The website also needed to be easy for the internal team to maintain as programs, staff information, events, reports, and other organizational content change.
Our Approach
We focused on reorganizing the content, improving accessibility, and creating clearer pathways for visitors to learn about the organization and take action.
Planning
We reviewed the existing website, program information, organizational materials, and proposed content. This helped identify outdated pages, repeated information, unclear service groupings, and important actions that were difficult for visitors to locate.
A revised website structure was developed to bring related programs together and create straightforward navigation for services, organizational information, events, careers, news, and contact details.
Design
The site was redesigned with a clean, approachable appearance that supports the organization’s community-focused mission. The visual direction used the existing brand as a foundation while introducing a more consistent color palette, improved spacing, and clearer page layouts.
A persistent navigation area keeps important links easily accessible as visitors explore the website. Pages were also structured to remain readable and usable on desktop computers, tablets, and mobile devices.
Authentic Photography
The project prioritized updated, high-quality images associated with the appropriate programs. These visuals help represent the people, activities, and community behind the organization more accurately than outdated or generic photographs.
Program-specific imagery was incorporated across service pages, while staff and group photography helped give the website a more personal and trustworthy presentation.
Community Engagement
Dedicated areas were created for events, news, donations, reports, and other ways to support the organization. Event pages provide space for important information and registration pathways, while the news section gives the organization a flexible way to share updates and educational content.
A careers page was also added to introduce employment opportunities and help prospective applicants learn more about working with the organization.
Local Visibility
The organization’s public business information was reviewed for consistency and clarity. Relevant categories, service information, branding, and geographic coverage were updated to create a stronger foundation for appearing in local searches.
The website content was also refined to clarify the organization’s identity and reduce potential confusion with unrelated topics or organizations.
The Result
The completed redesign gives the organization a cleaner, more professional, and easier-to-navigate online presence. Visitors can now find programs, understand available support, explore events, access reports, view career opportunities, and contact the organization through clearer pathways.
The finished website includes:
- A responsive and accessible design for different devices.
- Clear organization of programs and support services.
- Updated program, staff, and organizational photography.
- Dedicated pages for events, careers, news, and annual reports.
- Frequently asked questions covering common program inquiries.
- More visible contact, registration, and donation pathways.
- A manageable structure that supports future content updates.
The redesigned website provides a stronger digital foundation for explaining the organization’s mission, connecting people with appropriate services, engaging the community, and supporting future growth.
