I had a great experience working with KMA to revamp my website earlier this year. The team had excellent design ideas, were prompt in their execution, and delivered the site I was hoping for. Highly recommend.
About the Project
The Boston Advisor is a financial blog run by Sammy Azzouz, a wealth manager and author based in the Greater Boston area. Sammy has built a strong reputation for practical, helpful money advice. His articles and book help readers make informed decisions, and his growing online audience often finds him through keyword-based searches, media features, and personal referrals. Sammy came to us with one goal: improve how his website looks and functions. He had a lot of great content, but it needed to be better organized and easier to use. He also wanted the site to reflect his voice and his local identity more clearly.
The Brief
Sammy wanted the new website to feel clean, professional, and helpful. His top goals were:
- Give readers quick access to the information they care about.
- Encourage more people to sign up for his newsletter.
- Make it easier to contact him through the site.
- Create pages for his book and podcast.
- Build a layout that feels simple and well-structured.
Our Approach
We started by reviewing Sammy’s existing site and content. The Boston Advisor already had great content, so the main task was to organize it better and create strong paths for visitors.
Design
We used a light color palette of soft blue, dark navy, black, and touches of yellow and green for buttons and highlights. These colors came from Sammy’s branding and book design. We used real photos of Sammy, including some from events, along with photos of Boston. Other design choices included:
- A strong homepage banner with a clear message and Sammy’s photo.
- Press logos to add credibility without taking over the page.
- Improved visibility for blog categories to help with navigation.
- Book and podcast sections that feel easy to explore.
We kept all fonts easy to read and avoided too much text into any section.
Development & Features
- Built on WordPress, hosted on a fast and reliable hosting.
- Homepage layout includes a headshot, intro section, links to articles, and a simple roadmap graphic.
- Article categories help visitors filter topics.
- Newsletter signup form appears throughout the site to grow the mailing list.
- Book and podcast pages link to external resources and include summaries.
- Lead form on “Work with Me” page to help serious visitors reach out.
- Google Analytics and Search Console are installed for tracking.
We also made sure that the site works well on all screen sizes and that Sammy can easily update it himself.
The Result
Sammy’s new website now matches the quality of his writing. It’s fast, clear, and easier for visitors to use. They can quickly find articles, learn about working with Sammy, and sign up to stay in touch.
Here’s what changed:
- Visitors stay on the site longer and explore more pages.
- The layout is easier to understand and looks more current.
- More people are signing up for the newsletter.
- The site is better set up to handle long-term growth.
Sammy can now grow his online presence without making major changes to the layout or structure giving him more time to focus on what matters most: helping people make better decisions with their money.
