WordPress Website Care Plans in Massachusetts

Comprehensive WordPress Maintenance and Support

Our Website Care Plans provide proactive management and ongoing support so your site remains reliable, secure, and up to date. A well-maintained WordPress site supports user experience, protects against security risks, and helps maintain search visibility.

We also offer a maintenance-only option for simpler websites, as well as custom plans for businesses that require additional support time.

Even standard or smaller websites can include advanced functionality such as event calendars, membership features, custom post types, or other specialized tools that require more care when testing and applying software updates. Larger sites, or sites with extensive products or third-party integrations, may be better served by a higher-level care plan.

Why Invest in a WordPress Website Care Plan?

WordPress is a powerful platform, but it requires active management. Without consistent updates, backups, and monitoring, sites become vulnerable to security issues, software conflicts, and performance problems that can impact both reputation and revenue.

  • Reduce the risk of downtime, security breaches, and data loss
  • Keep WordPress, themes, and plugins current without guesswork
  • Maintain a fast, stable experience for your visitors
  • Support ongoing SEO efforts with a healthy, reliable site
  • Gain access to a knowledgeable team when questions or issues arise

Frequently Asked Questions

How do “Support Tasks” work?

You simply send us an email with clear instructions on the content you want to change on your website and we get to work and let you know when it’s done – our response time is typically one to three business days during normal working business hours and excluding holidays and vacations.

Emergency requests are prioritized and typically addressed in one to two business days and excluding holidays and vacations.

Changes include any text or image change that will take us 30 minutes or less. This typically covers things like updating an event page, adding a testimonials section or editing your menu items.

These tasks do not cover advanced or custom features like an online shop or membership section. They also don’t cover graphic design tasks. Any task taking longer than 30 minutes will need to be scheduled.

What happens if my website goes down, is hacked, breaks, etc?

The whole purpose of our care plans is preventative care, so we work hard to prevent anything from happening.

However, in the case something does happen and your website needs emergency care, we will be troubleshooting the issue and if needed communicating with the web hosting company on your behalf.

We cannot promise your website will not be hacked but can promise we will do everything in our power to prevent it, as well as assist in the restoration and cleanup of the website with one of our backups.

What if I need something outside the plans?

If you have a task that is beyond what is included in your plan, we’ll need you to fill in a separate project brief so we can be clear on what you need and create a separate quote.

However, many times we will evaluate requests that exceed your plan on a case by case basis, and with approval, work past the time and bill for time exceeded at the support rate listed on your plan.

Can I cancel at any time?

Absolutely.

We are all about building a valuable relationship with you and your website, so we would hate to see you go but we know financial needs weigh on many decisions and don’t want to lock anyone in.

Request a cancellation via email to kerry@kmawebdesign.com, and we will immediately stop the next payment.

Does the monthly time roll over?

Monthly time does not roll over. It is there to reserve your place in our schedule for dedicated time and resources. Updating content regularly helps your customers see your website is active and current, and it also helps with behind-the-scenes things like search engine rankings. So we encourage you to use your support time each month.

Can’t I just click that “update” button and do WordPress updates myself?

When all goes well, making updates and backups is a straightforward task. But it’s very important to understand how to be prepared to recover your site if things do go wrong. You must have a reliable and restorable backup before making any updates. If anything goes wrong during an update, your site could break, which could cost you time and money to fix.

KMA Web Design stays informed as to when certain updates are critical or have known issues. We take the appropriate steps to protect your website and schedule updates so we can carefully evaluate and address any potential conflicts or glitches.
